The latest releases from New Look have been announced by Simplicity… sort of. I don’t think they are on the website yet, but I’ve given up using the Simplicity website as a source of useful information – it is near impossible to look for new releases on there, and that was the main feature I used on the previous website. So I’m grabbing at straws on Instagram and trying to find alternative sources. They have published images from their new New Look catalog – so no line drawings, but we do get some cool pictures.
NL6428 – I like this. Simple, classy, and the fabric choice is very smart. I’d love to see a line drawing because I want to know if there are any variations in the envelope.
NL6429 – The neckline is interesting – it’s a nice take on the cut-out trend.
NL6430 – My friend wears a top like this obsessively, so I’d say it is very on trend.
NL6438 – Love this kimono inspired wardrobe pattern. It has a nice casual vibe, but still looks sophisticated.
NL6435 & NL6436 – Tunic/leggings and some casual pants. Sort of meh for me, but I could see the tunic pattern being popular.
NL6434 – Not really a fan of the sleeves on this top, but perhaps there are variations in the pattern?
NL6432 – Another peasant blouse tunic. The lace detail is pretty though.
NL6437 – Basic looking skirt.
NL6436 – More basic looking skirts. Not sure if this comes with the pants pattern from above – they are listed as having the same pattern number.
And that’s it! Personally, I’m not too inspired by most of these looks, though I am intrigued to see more information about the cover dress. Otherwise I think I’ll stick to my stash patterns for now. Anyone else interested in these new releases? Or is your spring sewing already set? Feel free to discuss in the comments!
They are up on PatternReview in the Shop section. I have a summer dress planned which is similar to 6430.

I’m with you, not overly thrilled with the whole collection, but I do love the cover dress and the fabric they used. Will definitely purchase that one!

Really not keen on the bicep vice with puffy elbows and tea catching cuffs.

Sadly, though all these are cute on the model, at 5’2″ they would all make me look pregnant–which is not a good look at 65.
