At this point time is blurring together and I honestly can’t remember what I completed in March vs. April vs. May. I have been making some progress this month I think? I know I’m finally getting some posts up about projects I finished in April, And I’ve decided that my next round of projects is going to be a lot of quick pattern tests for the underwear patterns I have, and I’d like to do a blog series with reviews for all of these in case they are helpful to others. I’m not sure when that will get finished or posted, but I did start work on that this month. Otherwise things have been really busy with real work and other obligations, so there probably won’t be much in this month’s round up.
Sewing Progress
I don’t have much to share this month. I haven’t had a lot of sewing time, so what I have had, I’ve been using for quick projects, like underwear, and much of it using TNT patterns just to complete the sets to go with the bras I finished in April. I’ve been waffling about how much energy I have to work on other things, but I decided that for the next few months I might try going through my current underwear pattern options and doing some reviews and comparisons on those. That seems like a good fit for the amount of energy I have to expend on sewing on the moment, and it will be nice to have those options in the future.
I guess I’ll also give a bit of a sneak peak at pattern testing I’ve started doing, and some things I’m hoping will come to the blog soon:
Sewing Delays
I feel like I’ve been busy every weekend, either with events that I’ve been planning for months, or with unexpected events that consumed a lot of extra time.
Finished Projects
Last month I posted all of the bras I had finished, so this month I suppose I must have finished the matching bottoms, which I’ve also hinted at in the pattern reviews I’ve finally gotten up. But just for the sake of record keeping, here are some pictures of the DL02 and Josey sets I’ve already posted about or will soon be posting about that I wrapped up this month.
WIPs & Upcoming Plans
Right now I’m planning to work on my underwear pattern review project, and then get back to some things I’ve put on hold (such as re-fitting the Cashmerette Willowdale, re-fitting the Aphrodite, working on the Lanai, sewing a bunch of DL02s, working on more Make Bra patterns, etc.) after my busy summer season is over. And as much as I keep sewing undergarments, I do want to work on sewing some other patterns by the end of the year. I’ve got a few non-undergarment Cashmerette patterns I want to get to, and Burda has been super inspiring lately. But we will see what time and energy permits over the next few months, and how much time I have to post about it.
