June is always a crazy busy month for me, both with work and with events outside of work. I usually don’t get any sewing done during June, so I was really happy to finish even one project this month, and start work on a few more I’m hoping to finish in the next few weeks.
Sewing Progress
This month my main focus was working on the Loftus pattern as part of the June Hive sewing challenge. I was able to finish, but probably only because the pattern didn’t take much work to fit.

I also did some work on adjusting my Josey pattern, and re-drafting a custom band pattern with some wire spring. I don’t have any pictures of those projects yet, but they are definitely next on my list because I need to make some utilitarian bras for next month and they seemed like a great way to test the pattern alterations.
Sewing Delays
I’ve been traveling nearly every weekend this month, as well as still recovering from being sick last month. I’ve also been working on a lot of non-sewing projects for my various activities, so my sewing time has been extremely limited.
Finished Projects
The only project I finished this month was the Loftus, but since it is a new pattern I was really happy with that. I’ve been giving it some wear tests before I make the next version, but I’m sure this pattern will be a TNT for me soon.

WIPs & Upcoming Plans
I have some mending I have to get done and I also really need some utilitarian bras for this summer, so I’m hoping to get the Josey and self-drafted band testers done soon. I’m also planning to participate in the July Hive sewing challenge, which is for sewing bras with cotton or quilting details. I won’t have time to work on that until the end of next month, but I can plan a bit now so I have fabrics and patterns ready to go by the time I get there. I’d also like to make another version of the Loftus, but I don’t know if I will get to that before August. I’m keeping my plans for July light because I know I won’t really have a lot of time for the majority of the month, but I’ll definitely be thinking about what my priorities will be once everything calms down again.

one project a month is pretty good going in my book! And Iāve said it before but just wanted to repeat that I enjoy reading your monthly wrap ups. Thanks.
