Adventures in Bra Sewing: Sahaara, Again

After I finished up my last Sahaara, I thought I might put the pattern aside for a while, but given other projects that had been happening (more details on that in tomorrow’s monthly wrap-up post), I decided to make another with some final edits to the cup pattern, just so I could be happy with the fit, and confident when I pulled it out again in the future.

There’s not much new to add about this version of the Sahaara. I used another kit from Bra Builders, and the only real change was that I used my altered version of the cups, but with some minor changes based on the original pattern. I am definitely the most happy with the cup shaping on this version:

I made matching underwear, but I tried a different technique to finish off the elastics using a slider as a decorative element. I really like how neat and tidy everything is in terms of finishing:

Overall I think it’s a really nice, simple set, and I’m sure I will get a lot of use from it:

I’m really pleased with the fit and style of this pattern now. It is very comfortable, and I find myself wearing my original version a lot around the house, so it’s great to have several now. At this point, I think I’m ready to move on to some other patterns and styles, but I’m sure I will come back to the Sahaara pattern again in the future.
