When I had previously planned wardrobe sewing, I never thought it would really extend to making collections of undergarments, but here we are. I became obsessed with this cherry fabric from Metro Textiles, and now I’ve got enough cherry undergarments to last me a lifetime. Or at least until the end of the year…
After making plans in my previous post, I didn’t think I would finish these sewing plans so soon, but an unexpected challenge in The Hive set me down the path of testing out the Maya Bra from AFI Atelier, and this resulted in me deciding to just go all in with the cherry fabric while it was top of mind, despite the fact that I have a lot of other things to sew this month. However, since I already had the other patterns ready to go, most of these were quick sews and I have ended up with a mix and match lingerie wardrobe that I’m really happy with!

The combinations I have in this wardrobe are the AFI Maya Bra, with the Bravo Bottoms #2, which is the simple, comfy foam bra with boyshorts:

I have the Josey Bra with the Friday French Cuts, which is the fancier set with lace:

Since I haven’t posted either of these in any other post, here are some close-ups of some of my favorite details:

And the LilyPADesigns Mysa Bralette with my self-drafted bottoms, which is a wireless bralette but that I’ve made a bit fancier here with the lace trim:

Only the AFI Maya is a new pattern; I’ve made all of the other patterns previously. While I’m still working towards getting the “perfect” fit and constantly tweaking all of them, overall I’m really happy with how all of these garments came out and I expect I will be wearing them quite a lot. But now it is time to really focus on my October sewing plans – hopefully I’ll be posting more about those soon!

very cute!
