I won!

I am so excited right now, because I won round 2 of the Pattern Review Sewing Bee!

This is my first ever contest win on Pattern Review, and my first time making it as far as Round 3 of the Sewing Bee!  It was a bit like that one scene from Little Miss Sunshine in here this morning, not gonna lie.

I’m so grateful for all the wonderful comments people have been leaving on the review, on my blog, and on Instagram.  It’s always so nice to hear so many wonderful compliments.

And I’m so excited and thankful to be moving on to the next round, and the prize of Sulky Thread from this round is just amazing.  I thought I’d been twitchy and nervous yesterday, today I’m going to be positively quaking with anticipation of tomorrow’s reveal!  I’m also excited to be moving on with such a talented and creative group of sewists – the third round should have some amazing garments!

In other blog news, I’m terribly behind in posting pattern release updates – the Burda October has been out for about a week, as has the Fall/Winter Burda Plus, and the new Kwik Sew patterns for Fall have been announced as well.  I’ve also had a few requests for close-ups of this dress, which I’d love to post for you guys as well, not to mention a number of half-written posts that really deserve to see the light of day sometime soon.  Unfortunately, participating in the Bee has pushed back a lot of life stuff (which did included things like sewing stuff for other people but did not include things like folding my laundry, which is still in a heap on my bedroom floor).  I’ve tried to cram all these things into the judging period, but this has pushed back blogging time, which will have to be further postponed now that Round 3 is starting.  Non-sewing life isn’t helping since work just kicked it up a notch this week as well.  So I’m going to say that while I *will* post my traditional pattern announcement posts, they likely will be a bit later than I normally put them up.  In the meantime, I’m going to try to get as much work done as possible so I’ve got as clear a schedule as I can manage to turn out a spectacular Round 3 Entry!
