The Burda Fall/Winter 2016 Envelope Catalog patterns (EDIT: also seen here, since German Burda has updated its website) have been announced on the German Burda Website. I’m an undeniable Burda fangirl, so I’m always excited by the biannual release of the new Burda catalog. I don’t think I’ve added quite as many patterns to my wishlist this year as I have in the past, but there are definitely some great coats and dresses available this fall that I’m itching to add to my collection.
Love both of these patterns – 6562 especially looks like a comfortable and flattering dress to wear in fall.
Loving both 6573 and 6574 – really stylish and flattering pieces for the fall.
Also loving both these dress patterns – 6575 shows a really interesting use of a large scale print pattern, and 6576 makes great use of color blocking.
The dress shirt challenge on the Great British Sewing Bee has inspired me to try a pin-tucked blouse, and 6578 looks like a great pattern to try.
The magenta blazer in 6581 is really sharp.
I think I can live without the pattern, but I love the fabric used for the full length gown in 6585.
Really liking the jacket in 6587 – it is an interesting mix of a more tailored blazer and a less formal cardigan.
6590 looks like one of those patterns that is really easy to sew and really cozy to wear.
Really liking these Burda Young Jacket/Coat patterns. Always good to have something with a hood.
The Petite styles are always really cute.
The maternity looks aren’t the most stylish, but they do look very functional.
Sadly, I wasn’t as big a fan of the Burda Plus looks this time around.
As far as I can tell, these crazy costume patterns might only be available on the German website, but they are always worth looking at for a bit of a giggle.
So, what do you all think? See anything you are drooling over for fall? Or is this release not as exciting as the recent magazine offerings? Based on all the recent pattern releases, how are we feeling heading into the fall sewing season? Feel free to discuss in the comments!
I like the plus jacket 6616, and dress 6618 has potential. In general I’m not a great fan of the standard sizes in this release, but that’s probably because current fashions don’t light my candle!

Liking 3/4 sleeves and shape of Top 6579. Also 6562 long sleeve dress, paired with boots.

I might just get that stewardess-costume and wear it on the reg. Otherwise I like the blazer and I love how there is a really tight pencil skirt in the plus-size-pattern. I do have a thing for a midi-lenght-pencil skirt this year, though I have no place to go with one. Otherwise a bit boring…

Oh wow – the gift that keeps on giving! I’ve never really been a Burda fan, but some of these look lovely. Thinking I need to attempt dresses again.

They are there now! I just bought the patterns from this collection today on sale at JoAnn. And it’s even the local one that’s super slow to put out new patterns, so they should be in stores everywhere.
